One of the main goals of this project is using sports memories to spark community engagement.
Endless examples exist throughout history where communities across the globe have supported their respective sports teams in moments of victory and defeat.
Being a student and sports reporter at Ohio University, I’ve seen how much a college campus will do to support its team. Through sport, students create a sense of togetherness.

Teams serve as social unifiers that allow people of different backgrounds, social classes, ethnicities, and religions to rally as one fanbase.
This is not a new theme for Bobcat fans, however. Community and sport have been intertwined at Ohio for generations.
