As of 2024-25, Ohio University is home to nine different women’s varsity teams that have all gained notoriety among MAC competition with their elite athletes, prominent coaches, and championship trophies.
But it wasn’t always that way.
The story of the Ohio Bobcats cannot be told without women’s athletics – from how it began, the key figures involved, and the adversity it faced throughout the 20th century.
